The butcher’s story starts in 1946. Maurice and his wife Berta open the store in Oud-Heverlee, a small village near the city Leuven. Their artisanal products attract a lot of customers, it’s a success. As Maurice groes older, he passes the store on to his son, named Fernand. He opens a store in Leuven. That’s in 1965. Than his son again, Filip, learns about the meatbusiness. Together with Siona, Filip takes over the store in 2001. In 2013 they started their business in a new venue. The butcher’s tale excists for over 50 years now.
They use all sorts of axes, to cut their meat. Some of them being passed on by generations. Check the movie and you'll know all about it.
Rondou works together with Jeroen Meus, a Belgian celebrity star chef, on a project called ‘Würst’. He re-invented the hotdog and makes the delux version of it, the ‘haute dog’. So together with Rondou they created the best würst for WÜRST
