Pick and choose your new teeth out of a briefcase…..

India has a massive street economy and you kind find absolutely anything you want on its colorful sidewalks, including dental services……

Even though the Indian government passed a law in 1948 making it illegal for none - licensed dentists to offer their services on the streets of India, this practice is still very much alive and part of the daily reality of millions of Indians.  The reasons are quite simple; whereas a street dentist will charge around 125 rupees for a bridge, an official dentist will charge you up to 10.000 rupees for the same procedure…

Whether you are appalled or not the truth of the matter is that In a country where an estimated 93 million people of its huge population of nearly 1.28 billion live in slums and need to get by on as little as 20 rupees a day….  these street dentists are fulfilling a much needed service.
